What is a tanuki? イメージ

A tanuki (the word means 'raccoon dog' in Japanese) is a medium-sized canid (dog family), whose endemic range was limited to eastern Asia until human introduction to Europe in the last century. The scientific name is Nyctereutes procyonoides, which means 'raccoon-like night-walker.' イメージ
